In any tcg game deck construction is a big chunk of winning a duel, however it may not be the sole reason of winning a game it is very hard to win without a good deck. In this lesson I'll be explaining how to create a reliable deck and how to add your special spice to it. I call a deck a story or a book, each book has certain sections to make a book readable, in every book there is a intro, a median, climax, and end game, a deck should be constructed the same way.
Intro
The intro or early game is pretty self explained it's how you start out the game, first you need to think to yourself what do you want your story (deck) to be about and start from there, now in every book you have every read how was the intro? In most books the start out slow and simple leading to the main subject to the stor the same should go with a deck your building, start out slow and make sure that you have nothing surprising in your opening 4 or 5 moves for example using cards like nova or tidal on turn 5 isn't the best idea and would make the book bad. Just start out the game simple and slow.
Median
The median is the main point to your deck what was the whole point to it, and also what play style are you going for never create a deck without having a plan first, the median in a book is when things start to get interesting and makes you want to read on the same goes for a deck, the median is between turn 5-8 at this point in a duel your opponent should have a clue what your deck is about, if not your probably not going to win because your deck won't have synchronization. If the book is not understandable during half way through why read it same goes with a deck, remember to have a plan and make sure your cards sync with one another.
Climax
This is the best part of the book it's when things really surprise you and pop out of no where the same needs to go for a deck. In a climax of a duel you may be losing big time but you have cards to totally change the game around, if your deck don't have a climax you probably won't win a duel if your not doing well up to this point, make sure to use game changing cards or combos, if it don't it will be like a book with no interesting changes not worth reading.
End game
If you have not beat your opponent by this stage in the game the duel may start to get really grindy and hard to beat your opponent easy, this is your big finish how will you win this duel? No book that anyone reads wants to have a boring ending the same goes for a deck. I understand a win is a win but no one wants to win with a frying pan lol people want to see a epic finish so make sure you finish your opponent with a hay maker some epic move.
This lesson may have been hard to understand but just try this advice when drck building it'll make your deck balanced and have no weakness against other decks.
